If Balaton then, one of the first questions is usually, is it the north or south coast? It is difficult for us to answer this because in fact, maybe in the east... we are at the Balaton Gate at the top, less than an hour's drive from Budapest, but no more than 1.5 hours by train. The Csittényhegy station is only a 10-minute walk from us.
